GOOD GERMAN GORGET C.1580

Large example in four plated with 6 ½” diameter rolled edge neck plates. The front plate keyed for securing the right vambrace and struck, near the medial ridge, with the Nuremberg guild mark. Adjacent is an armorer’s mark of GR(?) over a mounted knight. The interior with museum/collection number in orange. Old releather. Great for display with a period helmet or armor.
