Two piece bone scale grips secured with tubular iron pins and shaped iron pommel. Iron cross guard slighting flaring from the blade, the center with the circle on stem side guard which virtually identifies the Gothic version. Well preserved excavated condition with the grips complete and sound. Iron corroded but fundamentally complete. Very rare example of a true late Gothic short sword.
