GERMAN LEFT PAULDRON, C.1560-80

Forged iron, 8” height, in 7 articulated elements. Main plate with two articulated plates above and four upper arm plates. All with riveted and rolled borders and a medial ridge top to bottom. The upper plate with a buckle to secure the gorget attachment strap. The lower arm plate riveted to the main plate and with buckle and remnants of its leather securing strap. The plates nesting very well and quite well preserved.
