Black lacquered papier mache, about 2 7/8” long. Plain utility quality. Well worn with the inside back separating.  Considerable remnants of snuff remaining. The bottom marked MADE IN FRANCE. Cigarettes were bulky and often unavailable in the field. Snuff in the cheek provided the desired nicotine in a much more convenient form. These have a very low survival rate.
