Elegant example of the Viking blacksmith’s art. Embodying the form of the long ships with scrolled terminal and arched finger loop. The sides decorated with double lines over a saw tooth or zig zag line. It is interesting, though not studied to our knowledge, that nowhere else in Viking blacksmithing are these subtle and sometimes whimsical details incorporated.
