FINE PRE-COLUMBIAN OBSIDIAN ARROWHEAD

Valley of Mexico, Toltec C.100 BC-800 AD. Over 2 1/8 (2.15”), finely flaked obsidian of particularly thick section with flared/notched base. Selected slightly green stone. Probably a votive (gift to the Gods). Toltec history is still the subject of some controversy among experts, so this item can most conservatively be described as "Valley of Mexico, 1000 BC - 800 AD”.
