Valley of Mexico, Toltec C.1000 BC-800 AD. Over 15/8” (1.70”), finely flaked obsidian of particularly thick section with flared/notched base. Selected slightly green stone. Probably a votive (sacrificial gift to the Gods). Toltec history is still the subject of some controversy among experts, so this item can most conservatively be described as "Valley of Mexico, 1000 BC - 800 AD".
