Valley of Mexico, Toltec C.100 BC-800 AD. Over 1 7/8” (1.89”), finely flaked obsidian of early mono face form with one side shaped and the opposite side a single cleavage with the edged dressed. That form is achieve by flaking the piece on the nugget, then breaking it loose I a single fracture. Probably a votive (gift to the Gods). Toltec history is still the subject of some controversy among experts, so this item can most conservatively be described as "Valley of Mexico, 1000 BC - 800 AD”.
