FINE INDONESIAN KRIS

Sumatra with fine 17th century blade in early 20th century mounts as typical. Two wave blade of fine contrasting pamir with large islands of nickel rich iron, Well figured root. In smooth polish with old isolated speckling as expected. Wood hilt depicting the Hindu deity, Hanuman with one arm raised and the other on his midriff.  Carved bone mendak. Two piece wood scabbard carved overall in high relief scrolling foliage with a demon face to the back.
