Superior example of a type used throughout Northern Europe in the 16th can early 17th centuries. The head with medially ridged spear point with opposing crescent form barbs below. The socket with arsenal number. 84 1/4” overall on its fine hardwood haft. Recently acquired from a deceased estate and probably purchased in the 1920’s when such untouched weapons were preserved as curiosities by the wealthy.
