1st-3rd century AD. Gray volcanic stone skillfully shaped to a banded cone. Just over 7/8” (0.93”) diameter. Original polish mixed with light burial texture. Serving as the weight for a wood rod (spindle) on which loose wool or cotton was mounted, and spun as the thread was pulled and twisted.
