17th-18th century, Orthodox rite. Gilt bronze, just over 2” height. Well delineated relief decorated. The front with a vacant cross with Cyrillic ciphers at the beam terminals and charges above. Reverse flat with Cyrillic text as with early examples and likely dating to the late 1600s. Light surface texture from burial with the relief in high crisp detail. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored and on a modern gilt silver-mounted polished leather neck cord for contemporary wear. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
