Type popularized with the last decades of the 19th century with the military build up and occupation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Balkans by the Austro-Hungarian alliance against Russia. Exceptional example of the type with rococo foliage decorated band and raised bezel with initial W of the owner. Gilt bronze with the 24karat gold surface restored.
