FINE AFRICAN SPEAR HEAD

Probably Ibo, Nigeria and related to their unique all iron spears. Forged iron, 34 ¼” length with ringed base cylindrical socket dividing to a lenticular segment and tapered to the point with offset section leaf shaped addorsed veins forming a secondary point. The top of the socket banded over reeded triangles with elongated stipple line extensions.  Finely crafted and impressive proportions.
