Renaissance period. Gilt bronze, made by the open face mold technique. Over 7/8” (0.02”) height plus the suspension loop. Raised edge oval with relief image of Mary with the infant Jesus. Pierced top crest and pointe base emulating a heart shape overall. Worn and the surface lightly textured from burial and restored in 24karat gold. Mounted to an 18” gilt silver neck chain for modern wear and gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
