Tudor Period, about 1485-1603. The period of Henry VIII and Elizabeth I. Size 7 1/4 with a 1.5mm circular band with a roped or crenulated motif. The bezel of three flower-like figures emulating stones. Each very delicately made of a central sphere surrounded by thin wire loops. Completely intact and undamaged. The ring of a merchant class person, professionally refurbished with the pure silver surface restored. By the English law, graves may be opened after 75 years and the buried were often replaced by more recent deceased as the space in the churchyards was limited. Any jewelry such as this was collected and sold to benefit the church. Gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
