Probably made for an artillery officer. The recurved cross guard with dog animal head terminals and pierced in the middle with a cannon one side and arms splay the other. Rain proof lower mount and fine dogs head pommel. Chain knuckle guard. Silver tape wrapped green stained ivory grip. 21 1/2 broad and narrow fullered blade quite bright with 1 1/2 oxidation spot toward the point. Hilt excellent. The cross guard with London hallmarks and maker's mark W K, possibly William King.
