For the legendary Welsh/English longbow. Forged iron, just over 3” length with a tapered tang on a slender bolster and small triangular point. See Celtic Warriors, Newark, p.90 bottom for two similar examples in the Welsh National Museum, Cardiff. Professionally conserved and stable. Considerable well grouped statistics regarding the capabilities of the Welsh longbow exist though not a single bow has survived. The Mary Rose, dating well past the prime of the longbow and firmly into the plate armor period produced 137 complete longbows (16th century) and over 3500 arrows, none of which was preserved with its point! Exceedingly rare and important.
