From Tel el Amarna 1348-1332 BC. Red terracotta. Used for making glazed fiancé amulets, primarily for the burial/mummification industry. Just over 1" height, to produce an amulet of Isis, seated with her staff. Isis resurrected Osiris and benefitted the sick as well as assisting the dead to achieve the afterlife. Her reputed magical power was greater than that of all other gods.
