EARLY CHRISTIAN RING 5th-9th CENTURY AD.

Narrow band, 2.2 mm, expanded to triangular section below the raised oval bezel inscribed with a radiant five point star. That image has been identified on other rings of this period as representing the Star of Bethlehem. These, as commonly found on the rings of Converts to Christianity as this was a period in which Pagan religion was dominant. Wearable size 8 1/2 and excellent condition. Gilt bronze. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored.
