EARLY 20TH CENTURY KNIGHTS TEMPLAR SWORD

The 27” blade marked THE HENDERSON AMES CO. KALAMAZOO MICH. dating it 1899-1933 after which the company was sold. It is decorated with crusades scene, foliage, arms, a crusader, and the owner’s name on significant gold background. The hilt is modeled in particularly high relief as reserved for presentation swords with light wear to the high points. Bone grip with check to the back. The silver scabbard mounts as well, retain nearly all finish with nicely toned high points. The scabbard body is plated overall with one negligible oxidation spot to the back. Very showy example.
