Good antique example, 19th century or older. Finely carved antler grip as a tendril thicket surrounding tusks or horns. Twisted wire grip completely intact. Pitch bottom band. 24 1/4” slightly concave wedge section blade with finely pierced scrolling motif back edge. Wonderful patina and age character. A heavy early example of iconic form and fine quality.
