Revolutionary War period. Natural horn, 10 1/2” length with broad thickened spout. Flat wood base evidently seated in pitch and raised on one side, though solid and stable. Original red barn paint to the base. Cloth wrapped or all cloth stopper which we have not removed. The horn base with a cluster of broad shallow cuts, evidently tally marks. Similar condition around the edge (?). Good mottled color with light surface encrustation.
