19th-early 20th century, the age of small-town theaters which was replaced by silent movies by WWI. 37 3/4” length with 32 1/2” blade, unedged but tapered as seldom encountered. Two-piece cruciform bronze hilt. Good century old age patina. An excellent decorative display sword with an interesting history, likely having served in hundreds of presentations from Shakespeare to Puccini.
