Standard pattern with gilt brass hilt incorporating a folding side guard and silver simulated wire covered grip. 32” blade by noted maker WOOLEY & DEAKIN which did business in Birmingham 1800-03 under that name thus dating this sword to the early/middle of the Napoleonic Wars. The blade well decorated with considerable original gold to the right side. The left frosty gray near the middle but decoration crisp and considerable gold. The hilt with about 95% heavy fire gilt gold overlay. Grip excellent.
