Predynastic, before the pyramids were built. Flaked flint, monoface, shaped on the nugget and flaked off in a single stroke leaving a single large cleavage to one side. Leaf-shaped, just over 1 1/2” in length. Simply gripped in the hand, it was used back and forth for cutting as well as scraping as in fleshing hides and shaping wood.
