Late period, over ¾” height, standing with his arm raised to his face. Green faience, Horus represented as a baby with his hand raised to his face. Horus was the son of Isis and Osiris, the third of the Holy Triangle. He is depicted extensively in his adult form as the falcon-headed god and in infancy, usually with his mother Isis. Representations alone as an infant are quite rare. The surface with some bitumen adhesion indicating this figure was wrapped inside a mummy.
