15 3/8” length with 7 ½” barrel flared to 2 ¾” at the muzzle. Wood stock profusely inlaid with silver wire and tear-shaped silver accents. The lock screw plates of abalone (mother of pearl). The barrel with chiseled and gold and silver overlay throughout. The center with a raised sighting mound. Iron lock with swan neck cock, decorated in gold. The trigger guard and butt plate decorated to match. The overlay and inlay both with just slightest losses. A magnificent weapon probably made as a gift among men of noble rank. Every bit as impressive today.
