Ottoman Empire. The hilt and scabbard profusely mounted with white metal “base silver” panels and bands embossed in stylized geometric motifs. The front of the copper scabbard embossed to match. The scabbard tip with a saw tooth or dragon tail spine. Wood grip. 8 ¾” curved blade with tool finish. Exceptional form or design, completed in striking details. Period of resistance to French colonization.
