Brass hilt decorated in elongated panels of scrolling foliage and trophies of arms. Flattened diamond section blade decorated with a king portrait, the cross and orb above his crown. Additional rococo details. The sword dates to about 1750 and has been adapted by reducing the blade to 24” and removing the knuckle bow and shell guard. Well used.
