Fine example of the iconic form specific to Gorgon, where they are found in several archaeological sites. This once prosperous region of Persia suffered greatly from the Turkmen invasions.  2 ½” height with folded lip bowl top on tapered post in upturned edge base. Integral strap grip to the back. The surface with iridescent turquoise glaze, iconic to Islamic ceramics of the period. Skillfully crafted and fine preservation.
