EARLY CHRISTIAN CROSS 6-8TH CENTURY AD

Byzantine, bronze, 1 5/8” (1.58”) height, with the cross beam slightly below center. Relief incised with a figure of Christ in orans position with hatched pattern garment. The reverse with similar image in lower relief. Surface textured from burial and restored with 24karat gold. On an 18” gilt silver neck chain for modern wear. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
