Just over 6” height, square with peaked top. Made in two pieces. The face embossed in relief with two deities flanking a tree with religious symbols including prayer beads ritual vessels and animals. The last, evidently a reference to animal sacrifice which may have survived into the 20th century. Charles Alfred Bell reported evidence of human sacrifice before 1920. The bottom with a rank of additional animals. The back, made separately, fold over the edges providing a border and sealing in paper prayers as in the lotus bases of Tibetan religious figures.
