Carved from a single piece of wood, 9” height and 12 3/4” diameter. The top well carved with a mystical basket weave knot in a circle within a nine point star, all on a reeded ground. Well used and worn with some splinters and three of the legs broken short as usually found as they are carved across the grain. Purchased at Christie's, London in the 1980s.
