25 ½” length, blackened wood with “mouthpiece” form butt and flattened crest below the ridged spherical head. Exceptional old patina with mottled dark surface. Used by senior warriors as a throwing club as well as in the hand when at war. Masaai fought their neighbors to defend their cattle as well as steal those of the neighbors. The Kikuyu were their most frequent adversaries. Fine companion for the iconic Masaai lion spear.
