17th-18th century. See Stone, fig.153. Iron, made in six pieces with characteristic cross in circle cheek pieces, split snaffle and one rein mount on iron ring. The other now lacking. Very well used, rusted but sound and the rings bent from three centuries of use. Should be cleaned and straightened. Complete examples bring about $600-$700.
