This elegant sword draws its inspiration from its Mediterranean counterparts. The cup is formed of two fluted shells flanking arches of bars. The compressed pommel is in the Spanish taste, fluted en suite with the cup. The long cross guard,as well. conforms to the Spanish/North Italian model. A the time, the fencing masters of North Italy represented the forefront of the art and their techniques as well as weapons were emulated throughout Northern Europe.
