FINE VIKING HEART RING C.900-1050 AD, SIZE 9 3/4

Size 9 3/4. Flat face band with early natural form uncusped heart bezel engraved with a lattice. The cusped top form was used toward the end of the Viking era and the rounded top earlier, with regional exceptions. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Professionally refurbished with the gold overlay restored. Gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
