Good quality with 1.9mm rounded face band slightly flaring to the ribbed shoulders. Oval bezel crisply cut with six marks, serving as a signet which identified the owner and could be used to seal legal matters. (In Ben Hur, the title character identifies himself by stamping Messala’s tablet with his ring which bears the signet of Quintus Arrius.)
