Gilt bronze, size 7. Deeply rounded face band, 2.1mm width. The bezel of a mound supported by four smaller mounds, superficially imitating a gemstone and blatantly advertising the intentions of the wearer. Roman prostitutes were typically adolescents, largely slaves. Prostitution was practiced openly with brothels sometimes sharing doors with libraries. Quality surpassing nearly all other contemporary examples. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
