Beautifully delineated central heart with broad raided rounded border/. A heart within a heart! Made by the open face mold process. Just over 7/8” (0.92”) width. The surface is lightly textured from burial. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, and integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature.
