18th CENTURY OTTOMAN TURKISH POWDER MEASURE

Bronze, 4 5/8" length. Octagonal, with scalloped and pierced lip. Domed base pierced for the graduated slide with disk end which adjusted the powder charge. The slide with fancy pierced suspension swivel. The body decorated overall with incised stylized foliage in line bordered panels. Excellent with fine patina. The lip discolored from the gunpowder.
