VIKING COIL RING, 9TH-10TH CENTURY AD, SIZE 9 ¼

Gilt bronze, size 9 1/4. Circular section band in 2 1/4 full coils, to 6.7mm width.  Well rounded face with flat inside. The coil or helix was a favorite form for Vikings and evidently held supernatural significance to them. Surface well preserved. Sound wearable condition and professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored. Jewelry gift boxed with a certification of authenticity.
