Late 19th-century. Standard pattern. Brass hilt with double raised edge shell guards and silver wire wrapped grip, sound and tight. Standard pommel topped with an integral rectangle crisply impressed with a quartered armorial device with star burst, crescents and a further unidentified figure. Darkened and perhaps plated originally. The field below with rococo volutes. 31 1/4” broad fullered single edged blade, finely decorated half its length with scrolling foliage, excellent.
