Found in England and embodying the confluence of cultural and historical influences of the Christian Conversion period. Size 10 with overlapping band terminals in the Viking taste. (Total width 6.5mm.) The oval bezel with the Star of Bethlehem inscribed as a four point figure as was the interpretation at the time. The star surrounds a centered Evil Eye, a remnant of Roman Paganism. Many Pagan beliefs were preserved and blended with Christianity during the period of mass conversions which started around 800AD and continued until the Vikings were converted in the second half of the 11th century. Some of those beliefs are still with us today as superstitions. The ring is unique in our experience and has had the silver surface restored. It is gift boxed with certification of authenticity.
