Classic form with 12 1/2” double edged blade terminating in opposing hook tips used to handle the dismembered body parts which were sold individually. See the 1890 account by Glave who traveled with Stanley (of Livingston fame) and witnessed the process. Wood hilt with brass trade tape wrapped flared base and expanded pommel for optimum grip.
