JAPANESE VOTIVE DAGGER, TANTO, MEIJI PERIOD - Fagan Arms
1868-1912. The hilt and scabbard of bone, sculpted with figures at court and highlighted with India ink. The end capes (kashira) are cut with stars, 6 ½” ivory blade of tanto form with integral habiki. While daggers of this type are encountered occasionally, this is the first with an ivory blade that we have encountered.

Items containing ivory cannot be shipped outside of the U.S. or in the states of CA, HI, IL, NV, NY, NJ, NH, OR, and WA.
