JAPANESE SAMURAI WAR ARROW

Edo Period, late 18th-early 19th century. 37 1/4” length. Cane shaft with horn nock. Tapered diamond section point of fine togari form, crisp and bright. Brown duck fletching with minor damage only. The fletch area gilt and the feathers cut in the form shown in Edo archery manuals. Early, well preserved example of a war arrow of made to penetrate samurai armor. About as goog and complete as they come.
