Meiji Period, 1867-1912. 4 5/8" diameter. Rounded with short step to the top and bottom. Cylindrical foot and grip. Dark green body color with mustard yellow circular panel to the top and bottom. Gold rims and orange interiors. The top with a vignette of a chrysanthemum bud on leaves over splay of grasses, cereal grass and leaves. Two small foliate branches opposite. The decoration in pure gold exceptionally finely applied in delicate detail.
