4 5/8” diameter with deep red body color inside and out. the top with an eagle perched on a wood frame stretching a shade cloth. As within many cultures, the eagle was admired and respected. it was embodied as the god Amenohiwashi-no-kami who brought good fortune. Excellent for the period with two hairline checks inside the bowl, reflecting the wood grain.
